Pet Supplies “Plus” is a pet store that focuses mostly on pet supplies, as implied by the name. They sometimes have a few small animals for sale as well as fish, but this is not their focus. This store does sell a good variety of pet supplies and they usually have very good prices. The supplies here tend to be cheaper than those of the other pet stores in town. This is the place to go if you want some toys or basic pet supplies whether your pet has fur, feathers, or scales.
The other pet store found in Kokomo is Critter Corner. Unlike the previous store Critter Corner is focused on its pet selection. They do have some supplies but most of the store is filled with animals. If you are looking for an exotic pet, this is a good place to start. They have an overwhelming variety. You can find normal pets like cats, dogs, fish, small reptiles and small mammals as well as things like colorful parrots, large snakes, raccoons, pot-bellied pigs, and much more. One thing to consider is that while some of the animals come from breeders, others are bought from individuals and you should carefully inspect each animal before purchase. They do seem to try to take good care of the animals, but some of them are not housed appropriately. This is mainly, I think, because of overcrowding, but if you are looking for a wide selection of pets both normal and exotic, try out this store. Also keep in mind that some of the animals sold here require a permit to own.
