Easy and Quick Saint Patrick’s Day Treat Recipes

Saint Patrick’s Day Coconut Marshmallow Nests Recipe

This recipe is cute and easy to make. It’s great for little party treats, or for snacking on after dinner.

What you will need:

1/2 teaspoon water
3 to 4 drops green food color
1-1/4 cups MOUNDS Sweetened Coconut Flakes
2/3 cup miniature marshmallows
1 tablespoon plus 1 teaspoon butter
HERSHEY’S Candy-Coated Milk Chocolate Eggs
Directions:

First, combine the water and food color in a small bowl and mix together. Next, add the coconut andmix it around the water and food color with a fork until all of the coconut is coated.

Next, use a microwave to heat the marshmallows and butter in a medium bowl for 30 seconds on HIGH. Once that is done, remove the bowl and stir well. You can continue to microwave for 15 seconds at a time if you need to. Once the mixture is smooth add the colored coconut to the mixture and stir well.

Next, line a tray or cookie sheet with wax paper. Drop coconut mixture in 12 equal mounds and shape them with your finger into a next shape. Try to make the nest big enough for 2 small chocolate eggs to fit in. Add the eggs. Once the nest’s have cooled you can serve them.

Irish Chocolate Mint Brownies Recipe

This delicious brownie recipe is covered in a mint topping that makes a great snack for kids, a Saint Patrick’s Day Party, or dessert.

What you will need:

1 cup white sugar
1/2 cup butter, softened
4 eggs
1 1/2 cups chocolate syrup
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 cups confectioners’ sugar
1/2 cup butter, softened
2 tablespoons creme de menthe liqueur
6 tablespoons butter
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

Directions:

First, preheat your oven to 350 degrees F. Next, grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.

In a large bowl, mix together 1 cup sugar and 1/2 cup of softened butter until the mixture is smooth. Beat in eggs one at a time, then add the chocolate syrup. Stir in the flour until just blended. Spread the batter evenly into the greased pan.

Bake the brownies for 25 to 30 minutes in the preheated oven. After taking the brownies out of the over set them aside for 30 minutes, or until cooled.

In a small bowl, mix the confectioners’ sugar, 1/2 cup butter or margarine and creme de menthe until the mixture is smooth. Spread it evenly over the brownies. Put them in a refrigerator or other cool place until they are ready to serve.

In a small bowl melt the remaining 6 tablespoons of butter and the chocolate chips using a microwave. Stir the micture occasionally until smooth. You can also heat the mixture in 15 second increments until it is completely melted. Allow the mixture to cool slightly, then spread over the top of the mint layer. Cover, and chill for about 1 hour before cutting into squares and serving.
