If you live in Orlando or are just planning to visit then City Jazz is a place you should definitely visit. It is located at Universal Studios City Walk. It is in the center of City Walk and the atmosphere is great. There is an admission fee of $7.00 unless you have a City Walk party pass, prices do vary depending on event. You must also be 18 years or older to enter. They have great live music, from Jazz to R&B; and more.
They open 8pm – 1am Sun – Thurs, and 7pm – 2am Fri & Sat.
There is a comedian schedule you can view online, it gives you a brief description plus a picture of each comedian performing on select dates.
I had happened to go because it was my best friends birthday and she was hosting it at City Jazz. When we walked in it was really nice inside, it was dark with some lighting which made it feel romantic. They have servers come to your table for drinks or finger foods. We had the chicken strips with fries, and they were pretty good. That night they had a special comedian that was on Will and Grace’s show, I can’t remember his name, but he was a special guest that night. He was hilarious, he was also a magician so he did many tricks plus really funny jokes.
He kept picking out people from the crowd and bringing them upstage,one of those people was my husband. It was so funny seeing him on stage tied in a straight jacket. He made my husband sing and dance, everyone was laughing so hard. I myself was cracking up and couldn’t stop laughing. After the comedian was done he came down where everyone was and gave signatures and took pictures with everyone, it was really nice.
Then the live band starts playing all types of music, from the 80’s to the 90’s. Everyone got up and danced on the dancefloor, it was great.
If you are looking for a fun night then be sure to check City Jazz out, you will enjoy every second of it. I’m very hard to please and when I went to City Jazz I had so much fun I wanted to go again the following night.
