Cincinnati Bengals 2010 NFL Draft Grade

2010 NFL, 2010 Nfl Draft, Nfl Draft

Thanks for checking out my 2010 NFL draft grade for the Cincinnati Bengals. I will give analysis for each 2010 Bengals draft choice, round by round. If you are a die hard Bengals fan please check out my friends at Bengalsworldnews.com. After I briefly analysis the 2010 Cincinnati Bengals draft pick, I will give the grade. All comments are welcome and I will try to reply to all of them. In my opinion the Bengals 2010 NFL draft needs were tight end, safety and wide receiver.

Cincinnati Bengals First Round pick in the 2010 NFL Draft

With their first pick in the 2010 NFL draft, the Bengals took tight end Jermaine Gresham out of Oklahoma. Gresham is a 6ft 5 target and is arguably the best tight end in the 2010 draft. Carson Palmer will love having this target in the middle of the field.

Cincinnati Bengals Second Round pick in the 2010 NFL Draft

The Bengals chose Carlos Dunlap the defensive end out of Florida with their second round pick. At 6ft 6 inches tall and over 270 pounds, Dunlap is a beast. Since this IS the Bengals any concerns with Dunlap getting arrested were ignored. I like the pick if Dunlap can keep his ass out of trouble.

Cincinnati Bengals Third Round picks in the 2010 NFL Draft

Jordan Shipley the wide receiver from Texas was the next Bengals pick. Everyone wants the next Wes Welker but, there is only one Wes Welker. Shipley has good hands but not great speed. But picking him in the 3rd round and not earlier makes it a safe pick. I have a favorable analysis of this 2010 Bengals draft pick.

The Bengals then added Brandon Ghee the cornerback from Wake Forest. I live in North Carolina and have seen Ghee play a bit on Television. Brandon Ghee is fast but raw and he may be a special teams player if nothing else.

Cincinnati Bengals Fourth Round picks in the 2010 NFL Draft

Geno Atkins the defensive tackle out of Georgia was the Bengals first pick in the fourth round. I like Atkins but he is a little short at only 6ft 1. He should make the team and help the Bengals defensive line rotation.

Roddrick Muckleroy the linebacker out of Texas was the next selection in the 2010 NFL draft by the Bengals. I felt Muckleroy was a reach here at a position that the Bengals have an abundance at. This hurts the draft grade for the 2010 Cincinnati Bengals.

Cincinnati Bengals Fifth Round pick in the 2010 NFL Draft

Otis Hudson a 6ft 5 guard from Eastern Illinois needs a year on the practice squad and in the weight room. Given time this pick can become a sleeper pick who should be able to play guard or tackle if he gains some strength.

Cincinnati Bengals Sixth Round pick in the 2010 NFL Draft

Dezmon Briscoe the wide receiver out of Kansas needs divine intervention to make this Bengals team. I don’t seem him beating out Shipley and all the veteran wide receivers that the Bengals have.

Cincinnati Bengals Seventh Round pick in the 2010 NFL Draft

Reggie Stephens was a what the hell pick for the offensive line out of Iowa State. I really feel the Bengals should have taken a safety at some point in this draft, even if it was with their last pick.

Cincinnati Bengals 2010 NFL Draft Grade

I give the Bengals a C+ on their 2010 NFL Draft Grade. I loved the Gresham pick but none of the others really stood out to me. The Bengals failure to add a safety will come back to bite them.
