Legitimate Paid Survey Sites Vs Paid Survey Scams

Get Paid to Take Surveys, Paid Survey Sites

The subject of getting paid for your opinions, often advertised as “how to get paid to take online surveys” is quite a controversial topic in the world of supplemental income seekers. Hundreds, maybe thousands of internet forums and message boards, blogs, newsletters and work at home resource websites are devoted to providing information on these mysterious paid survey sites and other online money making opportunities.

These websites in this online part time employment category are often referred to as GPT or get paid to (fill in blank) sites. There are more GPT opportunities popping up everyday but with each one comes a shadow of skepticism lurking behind. The problem with these GPT opportunities (GPT read emails, get paid to test products, GPT get paid to take surveys, etc) is that many of them are disguised to look like legitimate money making opportunities while they are actually just scam sites where the host company and its affiliates end up taking your money. So one must be very careful when exploring the GPT get paid to paid survey sites and other similar ones in this realm.

The problem with the GPT get paid to take surveys paid survey sites on the internet is not so much a lack of legitimate opportunities out there, as one might think. Because while yes, many GPT get paid to websites are ultimately scams to get your money, there really are quite a few legitimate market research companies looking to pay participants to provide their opinions; one simply must know where to look.

The problem, though, as I see it, and I being an avid participant in online paid research studies and a frequent paid survey taker, is that for one reason or another the rewards available from such legitimate GPT sites are blown out of proportion.

There are people out there trying to claim that they got rich from taking paid surveys online and testing products. This is crazy. It is not even close to possible. I participate in maybe as many as 25 surveys a week and the most I’ve ever made was perhaps a $75 total payout from several paid survey sites combined every 6 months. And that’s doing really well.

It is very unfortunate, especially for the legitimate paid survey sites who are real market research companies trying to collect data for real clients that so many people out there are exploiting the market research industry with lies to capitalize on people’s curiosity and occasional gullible tendencies. Because all one must do is follow one claim toward an advertised get rich with paid surveys scam offer and suddenly he or she, because of understandable assumptions, associates every paid survey opportunity as a scam.

It is not the legitimate paid survey sites, or market research companies that are offering all of these false get rich from taking surveys promises. In fact, the real market research companies and legitimate paid survey sites generally tend to keep a fairly low profile. They limit their advertising to avoid skewing their data too much. In true market research experiments it is best to keep your participant database made up of randomly selected individuals. It is instead, those affiliated with bogus paid survey scam offers that make these bombastic claims about getting rich from taking online surveys.

With the objective to entice users to sign up for their scam GPT paid survey programs, they’ve got to make the deal sound enticing. And we as a society tend to get greedy and often times impulsive with our common sense out the window when presented with opportunities to get rich quick. So these scams are easy to fall for and the scam paid survey sites know this. That’s why there will never be a shortage of suckers or of people who make them as such.

If you think about it from this perspective it becomes more conceivable to understand how the entire industry of online market research gets stigmatized as fraudulent when only about half of it really is. So as an ultimate and perpetual result, with the scam artists eager to flaunt their false get rich taking online surveys claims to the public eye and the legitimate paid survey market research sites maintaining a commitment to lay low, the GPT get paid to scene is erupted with controversy.
