Like apple stamping leaf stamping is another fun Autumn activty that kids of all ages can enjoy. Using leaves to stamp paint onto paper or clothing is a great way to create Autumn memories. You can create handmade cards, picture frames, aprons, tote bags, or anything else with a great Autumn theme of falling leaves.

If you decide to take a walk and collect leaves for leaf stamping you should also look for small twigs, nuts, seeds, and things from nature. Put them all together with a little glue, ribbon, and wire and you can create a beautiful Autumn wreath to hang on your door.

If having a handmade wreth on your door is not enough you could also help your kids create an Autumn centerpiece for the table. For a truly natur inspired look use a small piece of wood such as a thick branch or small log as the base of the centerpiece.

For craftier kids you could try making scarves and hat. Either by knitting with warm wool or sewing with fleese, scarves adn hats are fairly simple projects that can often be completed over a weekend. And what better way to say “Autumn is here” than with something warm to wear?

Another crafty project to celebrate the Autumn is to make jewelry from the beautiful seeds and beans that we find during Autumn. You can use corn kernals, beans, and assorted seeds found to crate a necklace or bracelet that is all about Autumn. Soak the seeds and beans until they are soft, then rinse and pat dry. Double thread an embrodery needle and use to string the seeds and beans to the desired length. A perfect way to create Autumn inspired jewelry.

Some people are not as thriled with Autumn as they are with Spring. It is understandable, as Spring is the time when new life is coming out. If your and your children would rather be celebrating the rturn of Spring you can begin by planting bulbs in the Autumn months. Many plants such as daffodils, tulips and hyacinths are planted in the fall. Create an Autumn garden for your bulbs to wait in during the Autumn and Winter. Then in the Spring you can enjoy fresh flowers blooming anew.
