New television programs have always been exciting to watch but when The Palm Restaurant, in the Forum Shops, at Caesars Palace, arranged a Premiere Night Viewing Party for CBS’s “The Job” reality show that was very special!
The Las Vegas Viewing Party Host Lawrence Close, General Manager, has always stressed the importance of service and guest satisfaction.

“The Job” television program is just what the country needs to promote more jobs and the series began with The Palm Restaurant Group.

This week’s judges, Palm Restaurant’s executives Co-Chairman/ Co-Owner Wally Ganzi, Executive Vice President Bruce Bozzi, Jr., and Palm Too General Manager Janice Sheil, should be complimented in opening doors for qualified job seekers.

This panel of three exceptionally knowledgeable judges brought their expertise to the television program by giving advice, asking pertinent questions, and providing an awareness of the qualities that are needed to win in searching for a dream job.

The most exciting footage covered testing each of the five job seekers as they assumed the various roles involved in being an Assistant Manager at the New York City Palm Restaurant. It was not always smooth for them as this is a popular and very busy restaurant.

Maggie Nachman was out during the first round because she told Co-Chairman/ Co-Owner Wally Ganzi to go to the bar and find his friends instead of escorting him. Little things mean a lot in making customers happy.

Because Anthony Hollinrake wore casual clothing during his tasks the judges felt he had not dressed appropriately. The saying is “Dress for Success.” Anthony lost but was able to choose Westville, one of the guest companies that requested him. Westville serves eclectic American cuisine.

Jann Robinson, mother of six and a lady with a great personality, won the judge’s hearts as she was chosen the winner of the Palm Restaurant’s Assistant Manager dream job. Jann thanked the judges for selecting her, as a woman and as a mother because as she had been overlooked in the past.

The surprise for second- place favorite Ryan Pickett was receiving a second Assistant Manager job at the Palm Restaurant’s new Boston location.

The viewing party at the Las Vegas Palm Restaurant was filled with people. It was a night of fun with complimentary hors d’oeuvres and all night specials.

I loved “The Job” television program and have always enjoyed dining “First Class” at the Palm Restaurant in Las Vegas.

The Palm Restaurant’s have been owned and operated by members of the Bozzi and Ganzi families for 87 years and has 25 locations across the continental United States, as well as in Mexico City and London. www.thepalm.com
