The Seven Day, All You Can Eat Diet

Commonly known as either the ‘Seven Day’ diet, the ‘All You Can Eat’ diet, or the ‘Buffet’ diet, this diet aims to focus on what you can eat, as opposed to what you can’t, meaning less restrictions, and a relatively simple plan to stick to.

Personally, I’ve only ever lost about five pounds with this one, but that’s probably because I’ve never really needed to lose any more. I have known people that have managed to lose about eight or more pounds, so I guess it just depends on how much weight you need to lose in the first place – anyone who tries this out, let me know how you get on?

Now, before I go into the details of this diet, I have a few warnings I need to dish out – firstly, this is a week-long diet, and staying on it for any longer could have some pretty serious health risks, and I would discourage anyone from trying. As with all diets, I wouldn’t recommend using this diet unless you’re overweight, as it can become dangerous (obviously)!

Having said that, here’s the diet; please remember if you feel sick, dizzy, tired or ill in general while on this diet, it’s best to discontinue it.

This diet’s not going to be perfect for everyone, so bear that in mind before you begin; no one knows your body better than you, right?

Also, just to warn you, I’ve never found any diet to be as good as it sounds, so be prepared when you read this, okay?

The Rules:
There are a few golden rules for this diet, which you must stick to at all times, for the full effect:

Unless otherwise stated, only drink water on this diet, aiming for between six to eight glasses a day.

Do not, in any circumstance, use salt to flavor any of your foods.

Day One:
You can have all the vegetables you want, today, and you may use soy sauce, ketchup or mustard to flavor these, or you may use houmous to dip any vegetables in to, if you wish.

Day Two:
Today, you may have all the fruit you want, apart from bananas (science alert! (well, not quite) This is because the banana skin can leave a film on your teeth, that can contain rather fatty chemicals) – I would recommend apples, pears and white grapes above everything else, as they’re all thought to have great effects, when dieting.

Day Three:
Today, you can have all the fruit and vegetables you want, once again, avoiding bananas. You can still use soy sauce, ketchup and mustard to flavor, and you can also have salad, too, which makes this day much more bearable than the other two.

Day Four:
Five bananas, five apples and five glasses of milk – which means, today, you don’t have to worry about eight glasses of water, but I would recommend at least three on top of the five glasses of milk.

Also, I would recommend at least using semi-skimmed milk, as opposed to full fat – I know fully skimmed milk tastes awful, so I’m not gonna recommend you try that.

Day Five:
Four 3 ounce chicken, fish or beef steaks, with as many fresh vegetables as you like.

You have to do this for the next two days, too, so you’re going to want to stock up on your vegetables, otherwise you’re going to get a little bored.

So, that’s the diet – pretty simple, in principle, but trust me, by the last day, you’re going to be craving anything with a high calorie count!
Good luck!
