The Three Best Places to See Celebrities in Las Vegas

Caesar's Palace, Celebrities

Las Vegas has been known for years as being a celebrity hot spot. Everyday hundreds, if not thousands, or celebrities descend on Sin City. There are many places to search for celebrities in the city, but three locations stand out above the rest.

Many people will stand outside of the huge Vegas nightclubs waiting for a chance to see stars like Justin Timberlake, Paris Hilton, or Britney Spears. While these stars do frequent these establishments, chances are good that you will never see them.

Many of the major clubs in Las Vegas have special backdoor entrances for the top celebrities. The celebrities are then ushered into special VIP suites so that they may have their privacy.

Some celebrity fans will stand outside of famous restaurants in Las Vegas hoping to see the like of J.Lo, Brad Pitt, or George Clooney. While it is true that many high-ranking celebrities do frequent the high-priced restaurants in Vegas, those celebrities also do their best to stay out of the limelight.

My third choice for the best place to see a celebrity in Las Vegas is a place that everyone has to go, but end up rushing through as fast as possible. When you arrive in Vegas, or are ready to depart, keep your eyes open in the airport. If you have ever been to a major airport, you may have noticed many people standing around with cameras ready to take pictures. Many of these people are paparazzi. They will hang out in airport terminals waiting for a big celebrity to walk off a plane.

Many of these paparazzi may also have tips as to the flights that are being taken by certain celebrities. All you have to do is ask. Sometimes, though, they may ask for a small monetary payment for their reply.

Some celebrity spotters will say that you should try to hang out in the high stakes room to see celebrities. While this can be true, it is better to avoid the high stakes room unless you can afford it.

The second best place to spot celebrities would not be the high stakes room, but the poker room. Many celebrities are into playing poker, just like many of the common folk. Poker rooms sometimes have the highest concentration of celebrities in the entire city.

If there is a major poker tournament going on in Las Vegas, find out what casino is hosting it. Go to that casino, and locate where the tournament is being played. Once you walk into the room, all you have to do is open your eyes, and you will see a ton of familiar faces.

Last year, my wife and I were in Las Vegas during the World Series of Poker. We made our way to the Rio Casino twice to see who we could see. While we received pictures of many of the poker stars like Doyle Brunson, Phil Ivey, and Phil Gordon, we also saw many other celebrities. Matt Damon, Ben Afflek and Jennifer Love Hewitt were all there in attendance.

If there is not a major poker tournament going on, head over to the poker room at the Bellagio. This poker room is considered to be the haven for the top poker players in the world.

The Bellagio’s poker room has seen everyone from Tiger Woods to Bill Gates. Many of the big Hollywood names have been spotted playing a few hands at one of the Bellagio’s tables. Many recording artists have also gone belly up against a great player at one of these tables.

So, where is the best place to see celebrities in Las Vegas? The Forum Shops at Caesar’s Palace is the hot spot for celebrity picture takers.

There are many small coffee shops and eateries inside the mall at Caesar’s Palace. The great inside tip is to plant yourself at one of the in-mall tables at these establishments.

The Forum Shops Mall has many of the brand names that you have heard of, but can’t afford. The celebrities who frequent Vegas can afford them. Some celebrities don’t even carry luggage to Vegas when they come. They just buy whatever they need at the Forum Shops.

A friend of mine once took my advice to sit inside the Forum Shops, and keep his eyes open. In a matter of two hours, he got great pictures of Brad Pitt, Madonna, Paris Hilton, Ben Stiller, Michael Jordan, and Jay Leno. He also got pictures of other celebrities, but were not worth mentioning. I know for a fact that he got a picture of Andy Dick, but he will never admit to it.

Las Vegas is a great vacation spot for celebrities as well as commoners. All you have to do is know where to look, keep your eyes open, and keep your camera ready.
