As an adult, have you ever wished there was a theater that was “kid-free?” Be truthful now. I believe we have all wished that at one time or another. At MB’s that wish will come true as you have to be over 21 to enter. MB’s has another uniqueness that sets it apart from regular theaters because it also operates as a draft house. Yes, they serve alcohol along with pizza, hot dogs, polish sausages, pretzels and more. And the concession stand is located inside the theater!

Current theater movies are shown Thursday through Sunday. There are other special events going on the other days off the week such as karaoke on Tuesday’s from 7:00 – 11:00 pm. The last Friday of every month everyone is encouraged to come in costume and enjoy the “Rocky Horror Picture Show” shown at 11:30 p.m. MB’s is also available to rent for your next meeting, fundraiser, birthday party or whatever!

Movies at Berry Square has 9 screens with stadium seating. My complaints are that the facilities could be cleaner and sound quality is poor.

Rome Cinemas has 6 screens with stadium seating. My complaint about this theater is that the movie never starts on time – it either starts too early or too late.

Carmike 12 in Cartersville has 12 screens with stadium seating, is fairly new so it still has a fresh, clean feel to it. Digital picture and sound make watching movie here very enjoyable. The location is a bit off the beaten path in a place all its own. The down-side, as it is at most every movie theater, is the concessions are overpriced. Tuesdays only – popcorn and drink for $1.00 each. They offer advance ticket sales for certain movies.
