Sometimes, it doesn’t take long out in the sun to get burned. If you are in the tropics, you know all too well how getting sunburned can put a damper on your vacation. Home Remedies for Avoiding and Getting Rid of Sunburn

Drink Water as much as possible throughout your time outside. It is easy to get dehydrated out in the sun. Add that to the sunburn and you really can get dehydrated. The normal amount to drink every day is eight glasses of water but when you are outside for long periods of time you really need to drink a lot more than that.

Sunscreen is needed no matter how tanned you are. Getting sunburned can happy quickly and can really hurt. If you are in at the beach, apply sunscreen every couple of hours for best results. Make sure you let the sunscreen dry completely before entering the water.

Aloe Vera Gel can be used as a sunscreen as a healing agent after a burn. Check sunscreens for Aloe Vera as they are the best. If sunburn as occurred, use the Aloe Vera as soon as possible to diminish the pain associated with the burn.

Coconut Oil works wonders on your sunburn. Apply the coconut oil as quickly after the burn as possible. You will be surprised how quickly the coconut oil relieves the pain! Just apply directly on the sunburn as many times as needed to alleviate the pain.

Watermelon sounds like a funny home remedy that really works for sunburns. Sculpt at the watermelon meat and apply the juice or meat of the watermelon directly onto the sunburn. Many people will add the watermelon meat to their mixer and mix completely. Either way works, as long as you apply the watermelon to your skin, you will see the pain gone soon! The watermelon has protein and essential vitamins to keep your skin looking healthy.

Soak in a cool bathwater with a mix of water and vinegar. The vinegar will soothe and relieve your sunburn. You can take as many baths as needed to relieve the pain. Try not to dry off with a towel as rubbing with the towel can cause further pain. Use a sheet instead to wipe dry.

Milk is a well-known sunburn cure. Pour the milk directly onto the sunburn to relieve the pain. Peeling still may occur but the pain will be relieved.

Baking Soda can not only relieve the pain but eliminate it completely. The baking sodas will sooth the burning sensation and cool the skin. The burning will cool until the pain is gone completely. Make sure to leave the baking soda on long enough for the baking soda to work fully.

Egg Whites sound gross but it really works. Just pour the egg whites directly onto the burned skin and sleep over night. By morning, the pain will have lessened dramatically and the burn will cool.

Tea Bag Bath is effective to cool the skin and lesson the pain associated with sunburn. Just fill the dub with water and add seven or eight tea bags and let steep. Sit in the tub and you will immediately notice the pain starts to reside.
